“The knuckle folds on my right thumb are still stretched out compared to the ones on my left.”

Rosie used a pacifier for longer than a lot of kids. Part of this was due to a traumatic attempt by her pre-school teacher to get her to stop, which just scared her and made her cling tighter to the habit.
