It’s cold and rainy today, but I’m sitting out on the porch anyway. I refuse to give up on Spring. I just keep thinking about how much more I’ll enjoy my hot shower after sitting out here for a bit.
I first woke up around 2:30 after falling asleep at 9. I got up and made coffee, did laundry. I did a tiny amount of work and then watched 30 Rock for a bit until I fell back to sleep.
At some point during all that, I ate a granola bar. One of the crunchy kinds. Now I’m dealing with crumbs all over my keyboard. This is why I don’t eat crunchy granola bars. They’re not worth the hassle.
In case you’re wondering, I already knocked out that temporary crown again a couple of days ago while eating a meatball sub. That’s why I felt comfortable eating the crunchy granola bar. I’m an hour and a half drive from my dentist now, so I’m just going to wait until I get the permanent crown next weekend.
It’s supposed to rain until nightfall, so there will be no sun. I’m resigning myself to a gloomy day. If there is any cheeriness, it will be a delightful surprise.
Maybe I’ll put on a raincoat and pull out an umbrella and go for a walk later. That could be okay. My rain boots are back in my storage unit in Cambridge, so my feet will get wet. Sigh. I’ll be brave.

As Mr. Vonnegut said, "So it goes."
