Again
and again
I bought ant traps and put them around the sink. I have to accept my contradictions.
It’s street cleaning day, and I remembered to park on the correct side of the street last night. No need to dash out in my pajamas to move my car. My brain is recovering from lockdown fog.
Back in November, I got to my car just before the tow hook grabbed it. Sped off like Steve McQueen while the tow truck guy had his back turned. It was exhilarating, but didn’t need to be re-lived.
My next door neighbor is pulling into her driveway now. She may or may not be in her pajamas. She dashed back inside quickly.
I’m in my hanging hammock chair, second morning in a row. It was exciting when I remembered I could do this. There’s a chubby robin sitting in the big tree. The seed pods that will soon drop and make me sneeze are growing on the branches.
Last year I never got around to putting up the birdhouses I bought. Now it’s Spring again, and I have another opportunity. That’s the nice thing about Spring, there’s always another one no matter what you do or don’t do. Time marches on.

I also have to put out the ant traps. We sometimes put stakes outside the house too. I feel bad for the ants but whatcha gonna do? Enjoy those birdies!
All we have is now. It is sufficient.
